This privacy policy explains what happens to your information when you use this website. The short version: we collect very little. We count visits without cookies, we record calculator results only as anonymous numbers, and we receive personal details only when you choose to send them: through the inquiry form, by email or in a product review.
The Calculator and Setup Checker
Our solar computation tool and setup checker do their math on your own phone or computer. To improve these tools, we record their results anonymously: numbers only, such as daily kWh, panel count or battery size, with no name, contact details or other personal information.
The page does not keep what you typed after you close or reload it. Your name and contact details reach us only if you choose to send your estimate through our inquiry form.
Anonymous Website Statistics, Without Cookies
We keep simple statistics on how the site is used: the page visited, the site that linked to it, the country and the device type (phone, tablet or computer). These statistics use no cookies.
We do not store IP addresses. To count unique visitors, we keep only a one-way salted hash that changes every day, so it cannot be used to follow you from one day to the next. As of 20 October 2026, the site uses no advertising cookies, we do not build visitor profiles, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Server Logs From Our Host
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical data when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from attacks and abuse, and Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security checks for that purpose. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy.
When You Contact Us
When you ask for a quote or a site assessment through our contact page, you decide what to share. Usually that is your name, a way to reach you, your city or town, and details about your home and electricity use.
You can also email us at contact@jhsolar.app. Emails sent to that address are received and stored so JH Solar can read and reply to them, and we keep them under the same rules as other inquiries below.
If you send a photo of your electric bill, hide your name, address and Customer Account Number (CAN) before you take the photo; we only need the kWh used, the billing period and the amount.
Photos You Upload Through the Form
The secure form on our contact page lets you attach a photo of your electric bill to your inquiry. This is how we handle it:
- Only image files are accepted (JPG, PNG or WebP). Other file types are refused.
- Each photo is re-encoded when it arrives, which strips hidden data such as the location and other metadata a phone camera may add.
- Photos are stored privately. They are never posted on the site or shared with advertisers.
- We use your photo only to prepare your quote, and we keep it only as long as it is useful for your request.
- You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing contact@jhsolar.app.
Product Reviews You Submit
If you send a review with the form on a product page, we store the name, city and review text you enter. A review is published on the site, with that name and city, only after JH Solar has checked and approved it. You can ask us at any time to correct or remove your review.
How We Use and Keep Inquiry Data
- We use your details only to reply, size a system, prepare a quote and, if you order, install and support it.
- We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
- We share it only when needed to do the work you asked for, for example with the licensed electrician on your job or when permits and utility applications require it.
- We keep inquiry messages only as long as they are useful for your request. If you become a customer, we keep the records needed for warranty, service and legal requirements.
- We take reasonable steps to keep the information safe from loss and unauthorized access.
Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act
The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) gives you rights over your personal information. You can ask us:
- to tell you what personal information we hold about you (access);
- to fix anything that is wrong or out of date (correction);
- to delete your information when we no longer need it for a valid reason (deletion);
- to stop using your information for a particular purpose (objection).
To ask for access, correction or deletion, email contact@jhsolar.app or reach us through the contact page, and tell us what you need. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may raise the matter with the National Privacy Commission.
