About JH Solar: Who We Are and How We Work

Last checked · JH Solar guide

Philippine home with rooftop solar panels under a bright sun, with the JH Solar technician mascot

This page is about JH Solar: what we offer, how we size a solar system, how our quotes work and how we write the guides on this site. We keep it short and factual, so you can judge for yourself whether we are the right fit for your home.

If you only want numbers for your own house, skip ahead and run the solar computation tool with your latest electric bill.

Who JH Solar Is

JH Solar is a Philippine solar brand. We offer two all-in-one solar systems, Version 1 and Version 2. In both, the hybrid inverter and the battery sit together in one cabinet, and the package adds solar panels, mounting, the electrical parts and the installation.

Version 1 is rated for a 7 kW inverter and a 16.38 kWh LiFePO4 battery, with up to 6 panels of 620 W (3.72 kWp). Version 2 is rated for an 11 kW inverter and a 15.36 kWh nominal battery, with 14 panels of 720 W (10.08 kWp). Unit prices are ₱120,000 for Version 1 and ₱150,000 for Version 2, unit only. Version 2 has a 10-year hardware warranty; for both, the exact warranty terms are written into your quote. The Version 1 and Version 2 comparison has the rest of the facts about JH Solar units.

We also publish free guides on solar computation, setup diagrams, batteries, prices and installation, because a buyer who understands the basics asks better questions, of us and of anyone else.

How We Size a System

We use the same method the calculator uses, and we show every step:

These defaults are assumptions, not promises. You can change each one in the calculator, and on a real job the installer also checks that the panel strings fit the inverter’s voltage and current limits.

How Quotes Work

We list the unit price of each version, but not a whole-system price. Two homes with the same bill can need different parts, depending on the roof, the cable runs, the main panel board and the loads that must run in a brownout. So the panels, mounting, wiring, labor and permits are quoted after a site assessment, starting from your bill and your location.

After the assessment you get a written quote listing the version, the panels, the electrical parts, the labor, the price and the warranty terms. Nothing is final until it is written down and you agree. To start, send your details through the contact page.

Where We Work

We do not publish a fixed list of service areas, because coverage depends on the location and on access to the site. Tell us your city or municipality when you ask for a quote, and we will confirm whether we can do the assessment and the installation there. If we cannot, the guides on this site still help you size a system and compare other providers.

One more thing worth knowing about JH Solar: this website is our official site. If someone contacts you using our name, check that the message points back here before you send a bill or any personal details. Questions about JH Solar that are not covered on this page are often answered in our solar FAQ.

How We Write Our Guides

What We Will Not Do

We will not tell you to wire a grid-tied system, your AC panel board or a net-metered connection yourself. That work belongs to a registered master electrician or a professional electrical engineer following the Philippine Electrical Code, published by the IIEE. Our DIY guides stay with small DC-side off-grid kits, and even there we say when to stop and call a licensed electrician.

We will also not promise a fixed saving, a set number of backup hours or a payback date. Weather, your loads and your utility’s rates all move, and an honest estimate says so.
